Last weekend Abby Larsen, the incredibly talented founder/editor of Style Me Pretty, threw her four-year-old daughter the world's sweetest princess party, and I couldn't resist sharing. Mostly because, even in my late twenties, I too, crave the perfect princess party (and my own birthday is fast-approaching). When Abby's daughter asked for that very thing, she of course, received ... in a big way. My favorite princess touch? The low table with pink floor cushions! And, most of the sweet additions to this princess party can be done at home, DIY-style! The table runner is just a strip of fabric or burlap painted or sprayed gold glitter glue. The silverware - pink plastic cutlery wrapped in a pink napkin with gold twist-tie. I feature an easy balloon invitation DIY on Glitter & Pearls. And I've talked about painted mason jars in gold spray paint and glitter (with step-by-step tutorials) on Glitter Weddings. Streamers, balloons, and flowers add instant pops of party and color. And the clothesline stung with princess costumes, well that's just adorable! Plus, Abbey just posted DIY how-to's to create the balloon invitations + the gold glitter crown bags.
